Frugal Family: The Smallest iPod on Sale
Each week, Frugal Family features deals on local products, services, tickets, meals and anything else that reaps savings for families.
If you've wanted to get an mp3 music player for a while, but never wanted to pay the high prices, here's a good opportunity to get your feet wet. The iPod is the leading digital music player ont the market, and the smallest version of it, the Shuffle, is on sale at Target. There's no display to see what's playing, but it will hold a lot of music and play up to 15 hours on a single charge.
Faith Hill's iPod on Sale Now
As of this posting, $305 will get you Faith Hill's iPod. Well, it may not actually be the one she runs around Nashville with. But still. It has 19 songs on it. And, no, it's not all Tim McGraw tunes. She has some Coldplay and Rod Stewart, some Beyonce and U2. Even a little Justin Timberlake and a song from the soundtrack from the Beatles-laden film, Across the Universe. Her McGraw picks are interesting to see, though. Why "Live Like You Were Dying" and "She's My Kind of Rain," I wonder? But regardless of the playlist, the iPod is cute, it's green, it's autographed "Always, Faith" and the proceeds from the auction benefit Music Rising, a group dedicated to rebuilding the musical culture of the Gulf Coast in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
